Dr. John Hartman DDS
John Hartman, DDS, is a dedicated and compassionate dentist providing excellent care to patients of all ages at John H. Hartman DDS in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has over 30 years of experience in general and cosmetic dentistry and has been recognized by his peers as one of the top dentists in Indianapolis every year since 2009. Dr. Hartman is also a 30 year member of the Indianapolis District Dental Society.
Dr. Hartman earned his dental degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1988 and has never stopped learning and refining his skill set. As a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, he continues to take ongoing education courses and has completed over 400 hours of continuing education to stay up to date on the latest techniques and developments in dentistry. He’s also an active participant in local dental study groups such as Seattle Study group and the Indianapolis General Dentistry Study group, and retains membership in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Indiana Dental Association.
At John H. Hartman DDS, the team takes an integrative and conservative approach to care. They also provide emergency dentistry, so you can get the treatments you need when you need them the most.
Dr. Hartman and his team strive to keep your mouth healthy while delivering a warm and compassionate experience. For patients with dental anxiety, the team offers a variety of sedation options, including oral sedation, nitrous oxide (laughing gas), and syringe-less local anesthetic with The Wand®.
The practice has televisions on the ceilings in each exam room to keep patients entertained and relaxed during lengthier procedures. The team also offers early morning and lunchtime appointments for those with busy schedules.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hartman dedicates his time to community service through the Give Back A Smile program, established by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the AACD Charitable Foundation, to repair dental injuries due to domestic violence.
Dr. Hartman lives in Indianapolis with his wife and their four daughters, Abbey, Kelly, Caroline, and Lily. He looks forward to treating new patients and returning clients.
